How It Works

Every week, Lost-Radio has a theme topic. Songs from both Classic Rock and Rock genres are acceptable entries for the contest topic. An hour of the show will be devoted to each genre (give or take a few minutes and alotting time for wonderful interviews!) I will be picking 6 songs (or so) for each genre from the submissions. 2 winners for the week will be picked (one from each genre) and their names will go into a jar. At the end of the broadcast season, I will pick a winner (or maybe more!) from said jar, and there will be a prize (or two!) awarded! And, the interview list is filling as we speak, so don't forget to check out who will be calling in!

Just a few rules before the contest topic:

In the thread located at The Fuselage, yall can post the song name & artist, and you can tell WHY you think the song is appropriate, even quote a phrase or what not (please DO NOT POST FULL SONG LYRICS ON THIS THREAD! email them to me if you feel it is relevant, or quote a few lines in this thread. Thanks!) *note: EMAILing the full lyrics along can help me if there are any words that need to be *beepED*!*

Explanation of genres:

Well, since I signed up LONG AGO to play mostly classic rock and some newer rock on my show (and there are others on the station that do rap, hip hop, jazz, metal, country, etc) I kinda hafta stick to some sort of format.* Thus, Classic Rock the first hour and General Rock the second. I will play a few country/bluegrass songs here n there, but I steer away from Rap, Metal and other heavy things....not because I don't like them, but because I was given the opportunity to volunteer on the station (they have TONS of students who MUST be on for their curriculum) and I have a lot of that type of music already.* So, not BIASed in any way...just Hope that clears everything up!*

Thanks again! (and if you want to post Rap n Metal n such songs, it's OK!!! I love to hear ALL THE SUGGESTIONS! But, just know I can't play certain things. And most songs need to be edited for language & content if I have to get them from you all, and if there something I know the FCC could charge me for - well, I don't play it! UNLESS YOU ALL ARE WILLING TO PAY MY FINES of $500 and up! lol)

The show airs live, both locally (88.1FM WPTC) and on the internet (http://www.pct.edu/wptc/index.asp), on Thursdays, 8-10pm est. If you can't listen live, all of the shows are archived and downloadable!
