VIPs and YOU

This is a fan party, not a convention. We cannot guarantee that VIPs will attend. At a convention, VIPs are typically paid an appearance fee and booked weeks, months, or even a year in advance. At a fan party, VIPs show up because they want to hang out with us! That said, the previous Destination: LA fan parties held in 2005 and 2006 and the Lost Weekend fan parties in 2007 and 2009 were attended by Lost actors and creative team members, and we hope the same will be true for this year's Lost Weekend Fan Party.

We do expect you to behave appropriately around our VIPs—be respectful, don’t monopolize their time (they are not here to help you further your acting, directing or producing career), and for heaven’s sake, don’t grope them. Really. They don’t think it’s cute, unless you are perhaps Andrea Gabriel and you are about to fall down (sadly, Andrea's humorous account of grabbing another VIP has been removed from her website). Anyone behaving inappropriately around the VIPs may be removed from the party at the discretion of the party organizers.

Most of our VIPs are happy to pose for pictures, but please respect their request if they do not wish to do so.

Autograph Policy

Since our charity auction may feature a variety of autographed merchandise, asking the VIPs for autographs is not permitted. We believe that allowing partygoers to bring items for the VIPs to autograph for free reduces the value of the items sold at auction. This in turn decreases our donation to the Children’s Defense Fund and makes kittens sad. Think of the children and the kittens.

Interview Policy

Only invited press guests may conduct interviews, any others must be pre-approved by the Lost Weekend organizers.
